On Tuesday, Nanok who is also the Turkana Governor congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta for being re-elected for a second term. In a statement to the press, Nanok said all the 47 County Governments promised to work with Uhuru in order to achieve development goals.

Nanok also said the County Governments want to protect the gains attained in the last four years and ensure free flow of resources from the national Government to the County Governments.
Nanok differed with his party leader, Raila Odinga, who had maintained that Uhuru was fraudulently elected and NASA doesn’t recognize his Presidency. “We don’t recognize Uhuru’s presidency because he was elected in a sham election,” Raila told foreign media on Monday immediately after the Supreme Court upheld Kenyatta’s win.
