Laboso, who is the outgoing Sotik Member of Parliament garnered 175,932 votes (67,20%) while running on a Jubilee ticket against the incumbent’s 85,863 votes (32,80%) who run on a CCM ticket.
Upon being declared the winner, she urged Ruto to concede defeat so that she could manage to unite the residents given that Bomet was one of the hotly contested seats.

“The people of Bomet have spoken in one voice and I prevail upon him to respect the will of the people,” she stated.
Among those who have already accepted the results include outgoing Bungoma boss Ken Lusaka who lost to Ford Kenya’s Wycliffe Wangamati.
