NASA IS WASTING TIME: UHURU’S TEAM ISSUES NEW STATEMENT AFTER NASA MOVED TO COURT TO CHALLENGE THEIR WIN

Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki on his part expressed confidence that President Kenyatta would retain his seat as he had won the elections fairly.

“We have been ready for NASA any day, anytime, anywhere. Even if there is any other court they will wish to go after losing in the Supreme Court, we are ready for them. Even if it’s before an international court,” said Kindiki.

SHe further noted that NASA’s petition was a “case to nowhere” as it was only prolonging their “definite loss”, which had been made when Kenyans re-elected President Kenyatta last week.

The outgoing Tharaka Nithi Senator, however, noted that it was their constitutional right to challenge the election in an attempt to resuscitate their “sealed fate”.

“Theirs is like that case of a terminally ill patient who keeps on taking painkillers to relieve pain, even though knowingly he is facing death,” Kindiki stated.

Church Leaders and Members of the Diplomatic corps also welcomed the move adding that all other leaders disputing the results should follow the constitutional ways of resolving disputes, rather than resulting to violence.
