MORE EMBARRASSMENT: President Uhuru Kenyatta embarassed RAILA badly in Nyeri...Did he Deserve this??

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday failed to acknowledge the attendance of Opposition Chief Raila Odinga during the Madaraka Day celebrations held in Nyeri. Odinga had vowed to attend the event and true to his word he showed up but was amazed when Deputy
President William Ruto failed to invite him onto the dais to give his remarks as would be the protocol. Kenyatta went ahead to give his speech without mentioning Odinga, much to the surprise of many Kenyans. On Wednesday , Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho was blocked from attending the official launch of the Standard Gauge Railway by police officers at Miritini and Odinga expressed disappointment with his treatment saying he should have been allowed to grace the event. "The SGR is a national project, not a Jubilee project. Joho had every right to attend the event and I am sure he would have conducted himself with decorum," he said. The Head of State and members of the opposition have openly differed on several issues, especially the SGR project which has left the country in massive debt. Odinga on Wednesday acknowledged that the project was a step in the right direction but emphasised that it was a brainchild of the Grand Coalition government. He also stated that at the time, the project was estimated to cost Sh227 Billion so the current figure of Sh327 Billion meant there was something amiss. During his Madaraka Day address, Kenyatta expressed pride in his government's achievements, saying he had done a lot in terms of improving infrastructure and had also scrapped off examination fees in schools.
