At the same time, Council of Governors chairman Peter Munya gave a go ahead for the counties to sack all doctors who had not resumed work as ordered.
Speaking during the Fourth Annual Devolution Conference in Naivasha on Wednesday, Munya stated that from now henceforth, doctors who were still on strike should consider themselves jobless.
He added that the government would hire new medics from Tanzania and Cuba in the next three weeks.
Addressing the same conference on Tuesday, a visibly angry Kenyatta indicated the ongoing strike would no longer be tolerated accusing the medical practitioners of blackmailing the country.
